Who builds WYTMP
Last updated:
WYTMP is a small, independent app. It is written and maintained by one developer, not a company with a support desk in another timezone — so it seems fair to say plainly who that is and how to reach them.

Why two names
It is the same app on both platforms, listed under different names. On Google Play it is WYTMP — short for "Why You Touched My Phone". On the App Store it is CrookCatcher - WTMP Anti Theft. People also search for it as WTMP, Who Touched My Phone, CrookCatcher and DTMP, which is why those names turn up across this site.
What the app does
It answers one question: who has been using your phone. When someone tries to unlock or use it, the front camera takes a silent photo — no flash, no shutter sound — and saves it with the time and GPS location, then alerts you by push notification and email. A separate alarm mode, DTMP, sounds a siren if the phone is picked up, moved or unplugged from its charger.
A Pro subscription adds a silent 10-second intruder video, alerts when the SIM is changed or the phone is powered on, and a decoy home screen that opens the real one only with a secret PIN. Everything runs in the background, and a web dashboard lets you review captures across the devices paired to your account. The app is available in English, Hindi, French and Bengali.
What it is not for
WYTMP is built to protect a phone you own. It is not a tool for monitoring another adult's device without their knowledge, and installing it on someone else's phone to track them is illegal in many countries. If that is what you are looking for, this is the wrong app.
Getting in touch
Bug reports, refund questions, feature requests and press enquiries all go to the same place: support@wtmp.in. It is read by the person who wrote the app.
