How do I invite family members to my circle?
Open the app, go to the Circles tab, tap your circle name, then tap 'Invite'. Share the 6-character invite code with your family member. They'll join your circle after entering the code.
Why is my location not updating?
Make sure background location permission is set to 'Always Allow' in your phone settings. On iOS go to Settings → Famora → Location → Always. On Android go to Settings → Apps → Famora → Permissions → Location → Allow all the time.
Can I pause my location sharing?
Yes. Tap your profile icon on the map screen and toggle 'Location Sharing' off. Your location will no longer be visible to circle members until you turn it back on.
How do geofence alerts work?
Go to the Places tab, add a saved place (home, school, work, etc.) and set a radius. Enable 'Arrive' or 'Leave' alerts. Circle members will receive a push notification when you cross that boundary.
I'm not receiving push notifications
Check that notifications are enabled for Famora in your phone settings. On iOS go to Settings → Notifications → Famora. Also make sure your internet connection is active and the app has been opened at least once after install.
How do I delete my account and data?
Go to the Profile tab → Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data including location history and chat messages. This action cannot be undone.
Is my location data private?
Yes. Your location is only visible to members of circles you have explicitly joined. We never sell or share your location with advertisers or third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The app is draining my battery
Famora uses smart distance-based location updates (50m minimum movement) to minimize battery use. For best battery performance, ensure you are using the latest app version. You can also reduce the number of active circles.
