Frequently Asked Questions
Is this page about the same CrookCatcher as the iPhone app?
No — two different apps share the name. This page compares WYTMP with CrookCatcher, the long-standing Android wrong-PIN email app by a different developer. Our own iPhone listing is called “CrookCatcher - WTMP Anti Theft” and is the iOS build of WYTMP.
What is CrookCatcher?
CrookCatcher is a popular Android app that emails you a photo of anyone who enters the wrong PIN on your phone, along with the device's location.
Why look for a CrookCatcher alternative?
CrookCatcher is Android-only and focused on wrong-PIN email alerts. If you want an iPhone version, a motion-triggered alarm for when your phone is left on a desk, or an in-app evidence log with GPS history, an alternative like WYTMP covers those cases.
Is WYTMP free like CrookCatcher?
Yes. Free to download on both Android and iPhone, with an optional Pro plan adding the 10-second intruder video, SIM-change and power-on alerts, and the decoy home screen.
Does WYTMP work on iPhone?
Yes — that's one of the biggest differences. WYTMP has a native iOS app, while most intruder-selfie apps including CrookCatcher are Android-only.
